Protect staff and public: Hamilton
UUP Alderman Mary Hamilton has called for greater protection for hospital staff following an incident in the A&E Department of Altnagelvin, in which a man urinated on staff and patients.
“I am totally disgusted at this man’s behaviour,” she said.
“I am calling for the Chief Executive of the Trust to review security arrangements in the hospital, and particularly A&E, to ensure situations like this can never happen again.
“People go to A&E for treatment and for a stranger to do this to sick people and staff is simply unacceptable.”
