A dementia roadshow will roll into Craigavonnext week, giving people the chance to put any questions they have to the experts.

The event, organised by the Alzheimer’s Society, will take place At Rushmere Shopping Centre on Thursday, June 11 and at Tesco Extra, Highfield, on Friday, June 12, both from 10am to 4pm.

The drop-in roadshow will offer free information and advice on the condition that affects 19,765 people in Northern Ireland, as well as helping to promote the benefits of an early diagnosis.

It is suitable for people living with dementia, who are worried about a friend or relative’s memory or who just have questions about the condition.

Bernadine McCrory, Alzheimer’s Society operations director for NI, said, “Dementia is one of the biggest health and social care challenges of our generation and can affect a person’s relationships and their connection to the world they love, leaving them feeling isolated and alone. At Alzheimer’s Society, we do everything we can to keep people connected to their lives and the people who matter most.”
