A charity breakfast is being held in St Mark’s Mothers’ Union, Portadown, tomorrow (Saturday).

The Mothers’ Union Big Breakfast will be held at the Parochial Hall, Carleton Street, at 9.30 and the guest speaker will be former St Mark’s curate, the Rev Carmen Hayes.

Money raised will go towards supporting literacy development in Ethiopia, which is the MU overseas project for May 2015.

Individuals will be equipped with basic literacy and numeracy skills while planning action on issues they face on a daily basis.

The aim is to reduce poverty, gender barriers and ignorance, improving living condition in the home and in society as a whole.

The Mothers’ Union theme this year is ‘United in Prayer’.
