Report of small boat in difficulty sparked Islandmagee search

Emergency services responded to a report of a small boat in difficulty off the Port Road, Islandmagee, yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon.

Portmuck Coastguard said an extensive search was carried out by shore teams and Larne RNLI.

It added that nothing was found and teams were stood down following a “false alarm with good intent”.
