A 27-year-old man had been returned for trial to Craigavon Crown Court on seven charges of alleged harassment against seven different females.

James Bernard Anthony Carragher, whose address was given as Plantation Road, Bleary, appeared in the dock last Wednesday for a preliminary enquiry at Craigavon courthouse.

He was accused that between April 28 and May 31, 2015, he pursued a course of harassment against a female.

Carragher also faces six similar charges of harassment, all against females between April 28 and June 29, 2015.

District Judge, Mr Mervyn Bates, said he had read the papers in the matter and was satisfied there was a prima facie case to answer.

Carragher was remanded in custody to appear for arraignment at Craigavon Crown Court on February 2.
