BBC Radio Ulster presenter, Kim Lenaghan paid a visit to the ladies of Richhill Women’s Institute earlier this month.
This visit was featured in the BBC Radio Ulster programme, The Foodie.
The aim was to see how to bake an apple tart from start to finish and see what the secrets are to making an award-winning apple tart. Kim spent the morning with the ladies and under the instruction of Mrs Pat Harrison, heard about the history of the brambly apple too.
Kim watched and sampled, along with the members a wonderful short pastry tart made by Patricia. This is the second year that Richhill WI have been sought out by BBC to feature in one of their programmes.
Richhill WI are playing an integral part of the Apple Fayre Festivial on Friday and Saturday and hope the other members come along and support the event.
