Roof at Sainsbury’s petrol station collapses

The roof at Sainsbury’s petrol station in Craigavon has collapsed.

It is undertood the roof of the filling station at Rushmere shopping centre suffered damage overnight.

The station remained closed today while staff assess the damage and investigate the cause of the incident.

Workmen are at the scene and it is unknown when the station will reopen.

A spokesperson said: “Our Petrol Filling Station was closed at the time of the incident and no one was hurt. We’d like to apologise to customers for any inconvenience caused by the temporary closure of the site.”
