Sainsbury’s store partners with 7th Heaven animal rescue

Sainsbury’s Carrickfergus is to launch a new partnership with a local charity this weekend.

7th Heaven Animal Rescue Trust was chosen by customers as the retailer’s Local Charity of the Year.

It will receive a year’s worth of support through fundraising and awareness from the Rodgers Quay branch.

The partnership will be launched this Saturday (August 1) with customers getting the chance to meet representatives from the charity and learn more about the work they do.

On Sunday, there will be a car boot sale in the store car park from 12noon to 4.00pm to raise funds.

Stephen McMurray from 7th Heaven Animal Rescue Trust said: “We are very excited about this new partnership and are confident that it will help us re-home more of our rescued animals. We also hope this will raise awareness of the other schemes we offer to help support people and their pets.”
