A very special visitor is due to arrive in Richhill on Wednesday, December 2.
Santa is expected to arrive in the village following the traditional annual Christmas lights switch-on.
This year’s evening will include the voices of the Hardy Memorial School Choir and music from the Hardy School Orchestra - as well as several carols from the W.I. choir. The Very Rev Rosemary Diffin, Rector, Kilmore and St Saviours will give the Christmas message.
Shortly afterwards, Santa Claus will pay a visit on his reindeer - bringing a surprise or two for the children of the village.
This year, the Richhill School of Music are inviting the village to their home on 9 Irish Street for hot drinks, mince pies and shortbread after the main event.
Everyone is welcome to the Switch On, and the festivities will commence at 7pm sharp next to the War Memorial.
This event is part funded by the Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon District Council, Royal British Legion, McCann Apples and Richhill Improvements Association.
Dr Alan Turtle, Chairman of Richhill Improvements Committee, extended a welcome to everyone.
“We’ve been blessed with good weather for a number of years now. We welcome all children and adults along on December 2, when Santa will be arriving in his usual way on his reindeer!
Richhill Improvements Association would like to take this opportunity to thank all local business and volunteers who continue to make this event a success.”
