Cllr. Timothy Gaston (TUV) said that popular walking route had been targetted by ‘fly-tippers’ recently with the result that all manner of rubbish, broken glass and other debris was scattered around the pathways and grass.

“A lot of local people use the Sentry Hill pathways to walk their dogs and they are fearful that the animals’ paws could be cut up by the glass,” he said.

Cllr. Gaston asked that council workmen could be tasked to clean-up the area and suggested that a ‘closer eye’ could be kept on the area to prevent a recurrence.
