Six males have been charged with public order offences following disorder at Scarva on Tuesday afternoon.
In a statement, the PSNI said that two male youths, aged 15 and 16, are due to appear at Banbridge Youth Court sitting at Newry next Monday, July 20.
Four older men, aged 19, 21, 22 and 23, are due to appear at Banbridge Magistrates Court sitting at Newry on Thursday August 6. The charges are being reviewed by the PPS.
The alleged disturbances took place at the tail end of the ‘Black’ demonstration in the village, and organisers said that it was not associated with any of the preceptories.
