The court heard that police carried out a search of premises in Enniskeen where the defendant was sitting in the living room.

Ward left soon after the police arrived and a cannabis cigarette was found hidden in the cushions where the defendant had been sitting.

When he was interviewed he admitted it was cannabis and it belonged to him.

A barrister representing the defendant said it was a very small amount and Ward was the subject of a suspended sentence.
