Mr Forsey recalled a recent meeting with a serving Army Staff Sergeant who had lost both legs in Afghanistan.
“He was very upbeat despite his terrible injuries, but what struck me most was the cost of the latest prosthetic limbs with Bluetooth technology.” He said. “I shocked to learn that his new legs cost around £30,000. The Soldiers’ Charity can help with this cost, but we need members of the public to help us.” The Four Ball starts at 10am and an entry form can be obtained by e-mailing [email protected] or by calling 02892 678112. Tea/Coffee and post match meal are included in the entry fee of £40 per player.
