Chief Inspector McClarence concluded: “The incident comes in the same week that police asked people to be vigilant as schools close for the summer holidays.

“The School Watch initiative asks people to immediately report any suspicious activity around local schools to police. We know that vandalism and burglary happen at this time of the year and police must work with local communities to catch the criminals who target our schools.”
