While walking across a car park in Portadown a 27-year-old woman was abusive to police and ignored their warning to stop.
Michelle Louise Teresa Finnegan was fined £200 last Friday at Craigavon Magistrates Court for disorderly behaviour on February 18 this year.
She was also ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy.
The court heard that a police patrol was in a car park at Meadow Lane in Portadown.
Finnegan was walking across the car park and shouted ‘b—ds’ and ‘f—k you’ on several occasions.
There were members of the public in the area.
Police told her to stop but she did not and told them to ‘f—k off’.
There was a smell of intoxicating liquor from her.
A solicitor representing Finnegan said that her reply after caution was ‘I’m sorry’ and she was behaving inappropriately.
He explained that she was now living in an all female hostel in Belfast where there was a drink and drugs ban.
District Judge, Mr Peter King, told the defendant she was fortunate this offence pre-dated a suspended sentence on her record
He added that her focus had to be to avoid alcohol.
