Traffic survey in Cushendall

A SURVEY is to be carried out to see if traffic calming measures can be put in place at High Street, Cushendall, after the matter was raised by Moyle Sinn Fein councillor Colum Thompson.

A written response from Divisional Roads Manager Deidre Mackle stated: ‘My Traffic Section has commissioned Roads Service Consultancy and its partner, Amey, to undertake a traffic study within Cushendall. The purpose of this is to assess the existing traffic management issues experienced by all road users when travelling through to the village and to identify and appraise potential measures to help alleviate the issues identified. Information gathered for this study and will be used in the assessment of High Street for calming measures.’
