Fire service called to fire at Carn

The Fire & Rescue Service were called out to a burning car at Carn at lunch time on Tuesday.

The incident, which took place just before 2pm, occurred just outside Charles Hurst Vauxhall at the Carn roundabout, involving a red car.

A statement from Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service confirmed that one fire appliance had been deployed to deal with the incident.

“NIFRS received a call at 1:56pm to a report of a car on fire at the Carn Court Road area of Portadown this afternoon (Tuesday 18th August),” they said.

“One Fire Appliance from Portadown Fire Station was deployed to the scene of a car on fire in the area. The incident finished at 2:18pm and is being treated as an accidental fire.”
