Flooding: car stuck in water in east Antrim

Motorists are being advised to drive with care due to surface water flooding being reported in some locations across Northern Ireland this morning.

A Department for Infrastructure spokesperson said: “In the Island Road area of Ballycarry there is a report of a car stuck in flood water.

“Surface water has also been reported on a section of the A2 Shore Road in Newtownabbey between Hazelbank Roundabout and the Station Road Roundabout in Whiteabbey.”

The Met Office has issued a Yellow Weather Warning for rain for Northern Ireland today.
