Section of Greenisland road closed for works

Motorists are advised that a section of the Belfast Road in Greenisland is closed for works.

The lane closure, which commenced this morning (Wednesday), is operating from Sea Park Roundabout to 100m before the roundabout in the Carrickfergus outbound direction.

A Department for Infrastructure (DfI) spokesperson said: “The closure is required daily for the installation of a visibility fence.”

The work is being carried out by a DfI Roads contractor.

Road users are advised to expect an estimated delay of up to five minutes.

The work is due to be completed by 4.30pm on Friday, December 11.
