Born in Cookstown, N. Ireland on January 25, 1935, Jim – a “sailor Glasgow” – rode the seas to Canada in 1957.

His cherished Jean followed in 1959, and together the immigrant couple proudly became Canadians in spirit, if not in accent.

Jim pursued a career in retail (and Jean in nursing), raising a family in Exeter, Ontario, Canada. A farmer at heart, Jim loved to garden. God was his guiding light, and he served as a church elder (and treasurer) for many years.

Although he rarely pampered himself, he was unfailingly generous with family, friends, neighbours, and a variety of good causes. At Jim’s request, there will be no visitation.
