Four homes in the Westland Road area have been targeted by racist and sectarian graffiti
Inspector Duncan McBain, Portadown Neighbourhood Policing Team, said, “Graffiti was scrawled on four properties in Westland Road, Ballybay Park and Drumilly Green overnight between Sunday, May 31 and Monday, June 1.
“There is no place for sentiment or criminal damage of this nature in our society. Graffiti of this type only serves to intimidate, create fear and create divides within our communities.
“Neighbourhoods are built when people from all walks of life work together to build an all-inclusive community where issues and concerns are addressed through the appropriate channels and solutions sought on a partnership basis.
“Our investigation into this matter is ongoing and we would ask anyone with information to contact us in Portadown on 101. We will continue to work to keep people safe through policing with the community.”
