Video: Stunning footage of bridge construction on Magherafelt bypass
A stunning video has captured the construction of a bridge over the new Magherafelt bypass.
Filmed by the main contractors FP McCann, the video shows a massive crane lifting the single span crossing into place.
The new six kilometre carriageway, will entail the construction of a single carriageway (with sections of two plus one lane carriageway) through a green field site between the A31 Moneymore Road just south of Magherafelt to the A6 Castledawson roundabout.
Costing an estimated £35million, the bypass is expected to open in the autumn.
