Watch: Wonder Villains welcome Napoli and Italy legend Gianfranco Zola to the team
The band teamed up with the man who served his apprenticeship with Diego Maradona at Naples, before going on to star with Parma and Chelsea, in order to promote their debut album, ‘Rocky.’
The local four piece are playing a ‘School of Rocky’ tour of St Brigid’s College, Thornhill College, Holy Cross College, Strabane and their former school Lumen Christi College, to promote the new record.

Hide AdCheylene Murphy of the Wonder Villains says: “Considering we started this band while we were doing our GCSEs, we wanted to play some schools in the North West and maybe inspire some new kids to start pop bands.
“Plus it’s nearly summer and everyone loves an end of year school treat!”

Natives of Londonderry the band are hitting the high notes across the UK and further afield.
They have toured the UK several times, played festivals in America (South by South West) Morrocco (Sun Festival) Ireland (Electric Picnic, Glasgowbury, Forfey) and the UK (Kendall Calling, Dot to Dot and Radio One’s Big weekend. Which they actually played while still doing A-Levels)

Hide AdThey have released five singles, all which have received national radio play, including 6 Music and Radio One. They have done a Maida Vale Live Session for Huw Stephens in London and have broadcast a gig live on air during Phil and Alice’s show on Radio One in 2013.
They have supported some amazing bands such as The Undertones, The Human League, General Fiasco, They Might Be Giants, OMD and Superfood. Their debut album, Rocky, is now on general release.
