Don’t get caught out this weekend – it’s time to change the clocks again for the arrival of British Summer Time (BST).
The clocks go forward one hour on Sunday, 29 March 2015 at 1am, heralding in BST, lighter nights and (hopefully) better weather as spring gets well underway.
The clocks go back again in autumn in the early hours of Sunday, 25 October 2015.
The hour changes in spring and autumn in an attempt to make the most of the light.
If you struggle with which is which, this, albeit of North American origin, might help you remember: “Spring forward, fall back”.
Fall being the American term for autumn. We hope you forgive us if you take this as a slight on our version of English on this side of the Atlantic.
