Woman caught speeding twice in three days

A WOMAN was clocked speeding at 79mph along the Frocess Road twice in three days.

Lorraine Elizabeth Gilmore (31) of Main Street, Stranocum was detected by police exceeding the 60mph limit on Tuesday 11 May this year and again on the Thursday of the same week.

A defence lawyer told North Antrim Magistrates Court his client - who was not in court - had been living and working in the Ballymoney area but had moved to Ballyclare. He said his client hadn’t left herself enough time to get to work and was travelling at excess speed when detected by police. Gilmore was fined a total of 120 and had her licence endorsed with six penalty points.
