Woman injured in serious collision

The accident happened close Bowen’s Lane and Lurgan Elim Church at 8pm.

A 58-year-old woman was seriously injured and a diversion was put in place between the Gilford Road roundabout and the Dunkirk Road until 3pm on Wednesday morning.

As the ‘Mail’ went to press, a police spokesperson described the woman’s injuries as “serious but stable”.

A man was also treated for shock and taken to hospital.

Police are appealing to witnesses to come forward.
