A pre-sentence report has been ordered in the case of a woman who stole bottles of perfume from two stores in the Rushmere Shopping Centre, Craigavon.
Kerri McAree (26), whose address was given to the court as Moyraverty Centre, Craigavon, admitted the theft of ten bottles of perfume, valued at £497.16 from Debenhams and two bottles of perfume and a purse from TK Maxx on November 9 of last year.
McAree appeared at Craigavon Magistrates Court’s sitting last Friday.
The court heard that at 3.30pm police were tasked to Debenhams store in the Rushmere shoppingb centre.
McAree was seen on CCTV lifting a number of items and leaving the store without paying for them.
Police also received a report of a theft from TK Maxx.
When interviewed she said she took the items to get money.
District Judge, Mr Greg McCourt, said the court needed to know more about her background and adjourned the matter until April 24 for a pre-sentence report.
