This year's epic Celebrity MasterChef line-up has been revealed - here's who is included

Celebrity MasterChef has revealed another stellar line-up for the highly-anticipated 2021 series.

In the upcoming BBC One show, 20 celebrities will go head-to-head to impress judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace with their cooking skills.

From a Strictly Come Dancing star to EastEnders actors and reality TV personalities, this year’s contestants promise plenty of humour and entertainment as they prepare their dishes.

Last year’s six week-long competition saw Irish-Iraqi broadcaster and YouTuber Riyadh Khalaf take the crown.

Contestants are tasked with a series of cookery challenges, with the person demonstrating the best culinary skills ultimately winning the show.

So, who will star in the Celebrity MasterChef 2021 series - and when does it start?

Here is everything you need to know.

Who is in the Celebrity MasterChef 2021 line-up?

You may recognise a fair few of the faces appearing on the popular cooking contest.

Strictly Come Dancing pro Johannes Radebe, former EastEnders actress Rita Simons, Love Island’s Kem Cetinay and Blue singer Duncan James are some of the famous faces appearing in the kitchen.

They will be joined by Happy Mondays star Bez, actress Su Pollard, presenter Joe Swash, Britain’s Got Talent finalist and comedian Nabil Abdulrashid and The Great British Sewing Bee judge Patrick Grant.

Also hoping to impress the judges are comedian Munya Chawawa, presenter Melanie Sykes, former EastEnders actress Rita Simons, singer and reality TV personality Megan McKenna and Loose Women’s Penny Lancaster.

The Repair Shop’s Will Kirk is also among the contestants, along with former glamour model and businesswoman Katie Price, ex-England footballer Dion Dublin and journalist and author Gavin Esler.

Finally, included in the star-studded line up are Paralympic champion Kadeena Cox, Love Island star Kem Cetinay and actresses Melissa Johns and Michelle Collins.

It is safe to say that producers have pulled it out of the bag with this year’s celebrity contestants - but the question is, who will impress the judges the most with their culinary skills?

When does Celebrity MasterChef start?

A start-date for the show has not yet been announced, but it is expected to be revealed soon.

What we do know is that Celebrity MasterChef 2021 is set to air in summer.

Series editor Katie Attwood said: “This year’s line-up promises a huge amount of humour and entertainment. Lockdown has proved productive for our famous faces’ culinary skills and we are set to see some exceptional talent and astonishing dishes as the celebrities swap their day jobs for a spot in the MasterChef kitchen.”

Sarah Clay, commissioning editor for the BBC, said: “Celebrity MasterChef is one the highlights of the British summertime schedule and this series is as entertaining and charming as ever.

“The 20 brave celebrities are joined by a host of chefs at the top of their game in brand new tasks which makes this year feel extra special. The standard of cooking is like nothing we have seen before.”
