Armoy Road Races are ‘a key local event’

THE outgoing Chairperson of Moyle District Council, Councillor Sandra Hunter, thanked the AMRCC for the kind invitation to the launch.

She said: “Moyle District Council is extremely proud to be associated with the Armoy Road Races and I am delighted to be here at the newly re-opened Marine Hotel in Ballycastle for the launch of the fifth road race. The Armoy races have increasingly become a key event and once again this year, Moyle District Council is looking forward to a wonderfully exciting event.

“I’d like to take this opportunity, on the celebration of their fifth anniversary, to say congratulations on achieving so much in such a short time. It is of great credit to the Club and to all those involved.”

Mr Brett Ross, Managing Director of RiverRidge Recycling, who was also present at the launch, said: “With Michael Dunlop’s remarkable success at the recent TT, this year’s event is going to attract even more interest. Given this and the number of other high profile names that the Armoy has attracted, RiverRidge Recycling, is privileged to once again to be associated with the event.”
