BOXING: Gormley claims Maydown Olympic's second Ulster title

On Sunday, Maydown Olympic Amateur Boxing Club brought home their second Ulster Title of the current season.

Young talented boxer Cahir Gormley claimed the Ulster 9 County Championship in the Boy2 39 Kg division.

Cahir performed brilliantly throughout the championships by beating boxers from Donegal and Fermanagh.

This competition showcases some of the finest boxing talent Ulster has to offer and securing this title is testament to Cahir’s dedication and commitment to the sport he loves.

Maydown Olympic Amateur Boxing Club continues to grow from strength to strength and will hold their inaugural club show on Friday February 19th in St Marys GAC Slaughtmanus.

This will see Maydown Olympic Amateur Boxing Club competing against an Ulster Select and will showcase some of Ulster’s finest young talented boxers.
