The packed grid attracted drivers from across Ireland, England, Scotland, Wales, Holland and Belgium.

Domestic drivers made the most of home advantage, however, as Cochrane was joined on the roll of honour by Ballymena’s Peter Greer (1300 Stock Cars) and Antrim’s Stephen McCready (ProStocks) - plus Kieron Fry from England in the main event.

Cochrane won his final despite pressure across the final’s closing laps from Portadown’s Wayne Woolsey.

The next meeting will run on Saturday, April 30 from 6.30.
