Tilda Carmichael, Eileen Magill, Rene Gallagher skipped by Valerie Noble did not come to terms with the green over the first nine ends and trailed by 13 shots to 5. But what a transformation over the following seven ends when Curran posted 26 unanswered shots to lead 31–13 after 16 ends. They recorded a seven, just missing out on a ‘Hot Shot’ (claiming all eight shots on one end), on end 16. Curran won the game 31-15.

Marwin Hardy, Linda Swann, Joyce Spiers with Lynda Simms at skip had a roller-coaster afternoon. They were 14-6 behind after 13, but what a finish as they claimed eight shots over the remaining five ends to tie the rinks at 14-14. Result: Carrick 29 (0.5) Curran 45 (4.5).

Curran next match sees them travel to the synthetic surface at Antrim Lawn in their final away league game of the season (Aug 13).
