DARTS: Coleraine League kicks off

THE new Coleraine and District Darts League darts season got underway on Friday night and with last year's winners

The Thatch not participating the league looked open for a number of teams to step up and make their mark.

Both Floyd's A and B started the season with 7-1 victories against Sperrin and Tavern respectively, Villa Swifts came out on top of what looked a tricky fixture with a 5-3 victory against Railway Arms as did Villa A against Bertha's by the same scoreline.

Kelly's Inn travelled to Temple and came away with a 5-3 victory and Finn McCool's also went home with a 5-3 victory after their visit to Coleraine RBL.

D Glenn (Villa Swifts) hit the only 180 on the night while R Elliot (Bertha's) had the quickest leg in 15 darts, other quick legs were thrown by D Glenn 17 and 20 darts, Clarke Scott (Villa Swifts) and D.McGregor (Villa) 18 darts, D Moffat (Villa Swifts) 20 darts. Highest checkouts were 125 by D McGregor, 116 by R Elliot and 112 by H Stirling (RBL).
