East Antrim BC hosts Ulster Championship

East Antrim Boat Club hosted the Laser Ulster Championship at the weekend with 45 competitors completing the six-race series.

Winner of the Laser Standard class was Finn Lynch (National YC), while Seafra Guilfoyle (Royal Cork YC) won the Laser Radial Class. Johnny Durcan (Royal Cork) won the 4.7 Class.

Local winners included Emily Hill who was first lady in the 4.7 class, and Gavin Doig who was first Master in the Laser Radial.

Guilfoyle also won the prize draw of a P&O Ferry crossing.

A special thanks to event sponsors P&O Ferries, Larne Borough Council and the volunteers who made the event a great fixture on 2014’s sailing calendar.
