Fantastic racing at Fermoy

FOR race six the NIPA moved on to Fermoy, another fantastic race flown on Saturday 15th May with liberation at 10.30am in a brisk Westerly wind.

It’s all change in Coleraine with the W & W Murdock team tops in the County Derry RPS doing velocity 1480 and best in the Coleraine Triangle.

Winky wins with a Koopman bird bred by Paddy McManus of Ahoghill, and takes the pools. Anthony McDonnell is next best and he needs no introduction timing the early bird in the Coleraine Premier ahead of the Hanson & Harper team who had another very good card and had been setting the pace in this area.

Best bird in Mid Antrim was timed by Allen McBride who takes 1st Harryville for the fifth week on the trot, his Blue w/f cock was in fact winning for the third time. He scored from Tullamore 2nd Comb and then Clonmel, a full brother has already won twice, what a breeding pair this is. He timed at 2.17pm to record velocity 1550 for the 200 miles into Letercreeve on the Antrim Road. The sire is a son of Spartacus the top Soontjen and the dam was bred from a sister of Champion Strauss paired to a son of Diamonte. The K & K Kernohan team are runner-up for the second week.
