Annagh United’s push for Championship One survival will feature a weekend home test against Harland and Wolff Welders tomorrow (Saturday).
United enjoyed a blank date in the high-pressure league campaign last weekend but returned to action with a midweek derby date at Armagh City.
The Tandragee Road club’s bid to end a first season in second-tier football with safety is expected to run the full programme.
“I can see it going down to the final few games, possibly even the last match,” said Dean Smith, the Annagh manager. “Teams will continue to drop points and pick up unexpected results, with a group of a few teams only divided by three or four points.
“It is tight but we can only look after our own results and performances.
“Hopefully we can expect more players to return from injury and suspension over the coming weeks.”
