Brendan Connolly scored four goals and provided two assists as Laurelvale brushed past Broomhedge in a 7-0 triumph.
David Sinton finished with a fine hat-trick but had to share the spotlight alongside Connolly during the convincing performance by Mark Robinson’s men.
Connolly latched on to a slack backpass to round the goalkeeper and break the deadlock.
Sinton capitalised on defensive confusion to double the advantage.
Connolly made it 3-0 then picked out Sinton for the latter’s second of the afternoon.
Connolly and Sinton continued to create problems for Broomhedge on the way to an emphatic victory.
“To be honest, the best player on the pitch was Stephen Whitten,” said Robinson, the Laurelvale manager. “He dominated the midfield from start to finish and formed a great partnership beside Gareth Thornbury.
“Adam Pearson was excellent at centre-back thanks to his reading of the game.
“Of course, credit to Brendan and David for scoring the goals and some great all-around play.
“We created three good chances in the first 10 minutes for Simon Foster, Brendan and David.
“Even when leading, however, we had not been playing that well but got better as the game went on.”
