The simple message for the Co Armagh cup squads is to go and give the SuperCupNI their best shot.
Dean McCullough, the County Armagh Association chairman and coach of the Junior section squad, knows all too well can it can be like to step out in the spotlight for the first time.
“This will be a real test of nerves and skill for the boys,” said Dean. “This is the first time they will have played in such an environment.
“They will be playing in front of big crowds and it is so different from playing in front of parents and friends.
“However, the event is a great platform for them to go and show what they can do.
“We have prepared well and both the Junior and Premier boys are in good shape.
“At such a high profile event like this there are players who will stand out from the rest and this is the chance you want as a young footballer.
“The last thing you want to do is look back and feel that you could have done better. It’s important not to freeze and concentrate on your game and follow the instructions from the coaches. It’s nice to pick up results, but if you give 100 per cent in every game then that is all you can do.”
The squads are backed by main sponsor CRL with associate sponsors: Pinkertons Pork Armagh and Orchard County Contracts, Armagh.
