Lauren Currie’s impressive international debut has led to a place in the panel for Northern Ireland under 17s’ forthcoming series against Hungary.
The women’s football schedule will run from Monday to Thursday in Ballymena.
Currie, who remains eligible for the under 15s, made her mark during the recent friendly against Republic of Ireland as part of the summer Milk Cup programme.
The goalkeeper represents Portadown Integrated Ladies at club level and three of her team-mates - Aine Hoye, Lana Black and Aisling McKenna - have been selected to train with the international squad.
A fun night was recently held to help launch the St Mary’s Junior Academy.
The next event will open for four to eight year olds at St Mary’s Youth Centre on Sunday.
Registration is from 11 o’clock at the cost of £2, with the final whistle at 12.30.
Portadown Youth had players on show across the under 15s, under 13s and under 12s during a recent visit to the Harry Gregg Foundation Festival of Football.
