Steven Ferguson is backing Loughgall’s young guns to build on a first win of the NIFL Championship One campaign.
Marcus Dallas’ solitary strike against Institute last weekend left Loughgall with full points for the first time in three league outings.
Ferguson - one of the most experienced players in the Lakeview Park camp alongside Wesley Boyle - is relishing his senior role.
“It was probably one of our worst performances but a great result that will really boost confidence,” said Ferguson, the club captain. “It is up to the senior players at the club to help the young lads and pass on whatever advice possible.
“But they bring so much enthusiasm to the club and will show, I am sure, they can step up.
“We have a very young squad, with players getting a chance from lower leagues.
“But with that Institute win behind us we will look to push on together.”
