Steven Hawe, the joint manager at Loughgall, has issued a challenge to the Lakeview Park squad in the aftermath of last weekend’s 2-0 win over Ards.
“We have told the lads that now the standard is set so they must repeat that level of performance,” said Hawe. “We matched Ards and were very disciplined when it came to defending set-pieces.
“It was a brilliant team display but now it is crucial to go forward and make that result count.
“Ards would be considered by many as one of the title favourites but this league is so tight.
“Now we cannot let that advantage slip.
“It means nothing if we fail to build on the win.”
Loughgall visit Dergview tomorrow (Saturday).
“It is up to the players now,” said Hawe, who is joint manager alongside Stephen Uprichard. “We are starting to get there as a group, however, with fitness levels very good.”
