errors knock back Annagh

MISTAKES within an encouraging team performance provided Dean Smith with plenty to weigh up following last weekend’s 3-1 reverse away to Glebe Rangers.

The IFA Championship 2 clash at home to Ballyclare Comrades tomorrow (Saturday) will present Annagh with an opportunity to move on from the weekend setback.

“Andrew Wright has saved us quite a few points but made two errors on Saturday,” said Dean Smith, the Annagh boss. “We were just getting back into the match and Iain Latimer scored following a corner-kick.

“However, any hopes of levelling ended when Shea Campbell picked up a second yellow card.

“In fairness, both players have been excellent in my time as manager.

“Shea stood up and was brave in the dressing room after in terms of apologising to the lads.

“If you take away those individual mistakes, I was pleased with our shape and commitment.

“Glebe did not manage to create a clear shot on goal until 70 minutes with the third.

“Now it is time to move on from last weekend and just draw a line.”

Kick-off tomorrow (Saturday) at Tandragee Road will be 3 o’clock.
