The 19-year-old fullback marked his new deal with another solid performance.
“I am enjoying my football at Glenavon and I’m delighted to sign on for another three years,” said James.

“Last season we won the Irish Cup, finished in the top six and hopefully this year we can push for fifth. We are getting better each season and hopefully over the next few seasons we will continue that trend and maybe win some more silverware.”
Manager Gary Hamilton has said he feels James will develop into a super midfielder.
“The manager has spoken to me about that. I have played in midfield before at junior level so if I get the chance I’ll take it. Be it full back or midfield I’m happy in either position.”
Rhys Marshall, who missed Saturday’s game because of suspension, has also agreed a new contract, another boost for the club.
