Last minute defeat
Lurgan Town MU U14’s returned to action on Saturday against Cookstown Youth and unfortunately they were on the end of a 3-2 defeat.
Lurgan started slowly and were one goal down but after 20 minutes they won a penalty but this was missed. Within minutes Lurgan equalised thanks to a good finish by Adam Loughran but on the stroke of half-time Lurgan conceded a poor goal.
Lurgan pretty much created the better chances and finally got on level terms in the second half thanks to a great 20 yard free kick from Adam Hall. The sucker punch arrived when the Cookstown striker scored his hat-trick in the last minute of the game.
Player of the Game went to Ryan Upton.
