Lewis doesn’t miss his Windsor chance

Despite Northern Ireland missing a string of chances in their recent World Cup qualifier against Azerbaijan, young Lewis Ferguson from Greenisland couldn’t stop smiling as he got to walk out as a McDonald’s Player Escort for the game at Windsor Park.

He got to experience, first-hand, the excitement of the build-up to the game, including being pitch-side as the Northern Ireland team warmed up, before walking out hand-in-hand with Northern Ireland’s goal hero from last month’s draw with Portugal, Niall McGinn.

Describing Lewis’s big day out, his mother Wendy said: “This was a dream came true for Lewis as he is a football fanatic! He really enjoyed the occasion and has not stopped talking about it. A big thank-you for making this happen and for the gifts received.”
