McGee’s men aimto bounce back

TULLYALLY Colts were the big winners in Saturday’s Premier Division when they travelled to neighbours and previously unbeaten Ardmore and scored the only goal of the game, a result which should see them go on to better things come the New Year.

In the other big game concerning two sides in the top three leaders BBOB were held to a 1-1 draw at Eglinton. Lincoln Courts got a welcome 1-0 win at Ballykelly, the games between Drummond and Newbuildings Reserves and Caw and City Colts were called off.

In the Premier Division there are just three games this Saturday and then comes the annual Christmas break, the division even at this stage looks to be between three teams BBOB who are on top followed by Eglinton and Ardmore.

This should be a cracker, the home side missed a number of gilt edged chances in last weeks defeat by Tullyally and manager Damien McGee will look for a big improvement this week, however they are still a quality side.

The Old Boys were involved in an excellent game of football in last weeks draw at Eglinton, they will want all their big guns out for this one but they may have to settle for a share of the spoils.

Prediction: Score Draw.

Lincoln Courts v Ballykelly

These two sides met at Kings Lane last week where the Courts got a hard earned three points, a result that they must build on after a pretty poor first half of the season.

The visitors are still in the Coca/Cola Irish Junior Cup and maybe they have one eye on that game coming up in the New Year, however they will have to concentrate in picking up league points.

Prediction: Lincoln Courts.

Eglinton v Caw

The Villagers will want to go into the break on a winning note and with the other two at the top playing each other this game takes on more significance, their management are convinced that they can lift the title.

Caw were without a game the last two weeks for different reasons, they enjoy their football and are also well organised however they are in the bottom half of the table and may get nothing from this one.

Prediction: Eglinton.
