The weekend draw for EURO 2016 has increased excitement within the Northern Ireland fanbase leading up to next summer’s football tournament.
Travel plans have dominated the talk for supporters following Northern Ireland’s qualification for the European Championships.
Saturday’s draw has handed the Green And White Army tests against Poland, Ukraine and Germany in France - sparking widespread interest in travel access to Nice, Lyon and Paris.
Details have been released of packages from Thomson Sport - the official supporters’ travel partner of the Irish Football Association.
Package prices start at £399, with sales open until January 14 and deposits from £100. Packages include day-return, flight and extended accommodation options.
All deals offer a money-back guarantee for supporters who fail to get a match ticket or can find a cheaper like-for-like package.
“This is Northern Ireland’s first European Championship and the response from the supporters since the draw has been phenomenal,” said Nathan Wilson, sales and marketing director at Thompson Sport. “We’re delighted to be able to help so many loyal fans book their place and let them be a part of Northern Ireland’s Euro 2016 campaign.
“As official supporters’ travel partner of the Irish FA, we’re able to offer a money-back guarantee.
“We have 50 years of experience, which includes a fully-trained crisis management team, ABTA, ATOL and IATA protection, detailed route-planning and escorted travel to ensure that Northern Irish supporters can travel with confidence next summer.”
A large number of Portadown Northern Ireland Supporters’ Club members have already made plans for France - along with individual fans keen to experience the landmark tournament, with travel agents in the area anticipating growing demand in the aftermath of Saturday’s draw.
