A late own goal handed Portadown BBOB the final edge in Saturday’s derby date with Scarva Rangers.

The thrilling fixture’s seventh and final goal arrived when Nathan Martin’s corner-kick was turned home by a Scarva player.

It marked the final twist in a gripping clash as BBOB battled back from deficits on two occasions before claiming overall control.

Wes Baird’s pass behind the BBOB backline was smashed home by Stephen Gass to break the deadlock.

Matthew Donaldson steered in an equaliser with a close-range finish.

Scarva moved back on top thanks to Alex Hammond’s header off a corner-kick followin Gass’ hard work.

BBOB managed to turn the tables during a bright start to the second half.

William Donaldson’s pass was converted by Matthew Donaldson before the former found the net off Martin’s corner-kick.

Scarva returned to level terms as Sam Boyd steered in a Gass pass.

Daniel MacCartney, John Henderson and Adam Hobson each came close to adding to the BBOB tally.

Stuart Wilson, Greg Douglas and Gareth Anderson proved key for Scarva.

Anderson was alert to hack away the threat off his own line during a dangerous BBOB attack.

The Old Boys’ afternoon also featured a goal ruled out - before the final whistle confirmed victory for BBOB in Killicomaine.
