Portadown thirds returned to competitive play following the festive break with a weekend win against Lurgan Celtic.
The Mid-Ulster Youth Cup tie finished with a 3-1 win for the town players and red card apiece.
“We looked pretty rusty but going 1-0 down was a wake-up call and Paudy Judge scored a good goal to level,” said Chris Wright, manager of the thirds. “Chris Ferguson finished a brilliant solo run to put us in front but then picked up a harsh red card.
“Paudy got his second after the break and Lurgan Celtic finished with 10 men.
“We created plenty of chances without ever getting into our groove but just happy to be in the quarter-finals at home this weekend to Armagh City.”
Kick-off at Kernan Playing Fields will be 10 o’clock.
