Markethill Swifts wrapped up the Mid-Ulster Reserve League Division Two title in style on Saturday - then had the trophy taken away from the club on Monday night.
A Mid-Ulster Football League disciplinary meeting ruled in favour of Moneyslane’s appeal that the Swifts fielded more than the four permitted first-team players during a game between the sides earlier in the season.
That decision resulted in Moneyslane climbing above the Swifts in the league table.
Saturday’s trophy presentation to the Swifts followed success against Lurgan Institute by 8-0 thanks to four goals for Neil Shaw, Mark Dickson’s treble and a Matt Fullerton finish.
Alan Wells scored from the spot and Richard Bloomer produced a penaly save in defeat for Bourneview Mill by 4-1 at Moneyslane.
David Pendleton and John Graham grabbed goals in a 3-2 reverse for Portadown BBOB at home to Lurgan Town.
Adrian Managh and Clive Davison each found the net as Seagoe shared the Mid-Ulster Reserve League Division Three spoils with Lurgan United in a 2-2 draw.
